HEALTH, SAFETY AND THE LAW

 

This one day workshop should be attended by supervisors and managers 
as well as members of the Joint Health and Safety should be considered.

WORKSHOP TOPICS

Duties as specified in the legislation of:

          - employer

          - supervisors and managers.

          - workers

          - committee members  

 

Responding to health and safety concerns identified by:

          - workers.

          - joint health and safety committee.

Due Diligence

        - practical method of creating documentation which demonstrates 
          your commitment to health and safety as required by the legislation.

Fines

          - examples of fines levied and practical steps that protect you from potential fines.

Work Refusal

         - the propers steps which must be followed.

Accident Investigation

          - an overview of the proper steps which must be followed.

          ( We also conduct a comprehensive  Accident/Incident Investigation workshop)

 

 TRAINING METHODS

         -Group discussions, case studies and extensive reference to 
              the Occupational Health and Safety Act and industrial regulations 
              will be used to promote involvement of the participants.

 

CLASS SIZE

The recommended number of participants is 10 to 15.

 

CERTIFICATES

Certificates will be provided for each of the participants.
