TRANSPORTATION OF DANGEROUS
GOODS TRAINING WORKSHOP

       

GOALS

 To review and discuss the information, which, the participants require to safely handle TDG products as, required by the legislation.

TOPICS

Training shall include (as appropriate)

1.       Classification of Dangerous Goods

2.       Packing and container specifications

3.       Safety markings, labels and placards

4.       Documentation requirements

5.       Special precautions for handling goods

6.       Incident reporting requirements

7.       Emergency response procedures

8.       Proper use of equipment when handling dangerous goods

9.       Proper use of and availability of safety equipment

 

 

TRAINING METHODS

 To ensure maximum involvement participants will be encouraged to help with demonstrations and to share experiences related to working with products, which are regulated by the Transportation of Dangerous Goods legislation.                      

 Participants will receive review sheets, which highlight significant items.

 

CERTIFICATES

All successful participants will receive a Transportation of Dangerous Goods training wallet card. Re-certification must be completed every 3 years.

 

LENGTH OF WORKSHOP

This workshop requires four hours.
